I'm Jò and and I'm the designer behind jewellery brand: "Jò in Wonderland Creations".

I started three years ago making jewellery for myself, to have something unique & special.

 Since then I haven't stopped! My adventure in jewellery making began with assembling components (beads, metallic elements, etc) & more recently the inclusion of wire & metalwork too. 

I love to model, hammer, sand & oxidise my foil sheets to see my ideas come to life, creating truly unique pieces where every component is hand made.  No two pieces I make are ever identical - just like the women who buy my jewellery!  Seeing the ideas in my head turn into reality gives me immense satisfaction.  I pour my heart into my work, making it special & personalised.

 My latest additions are engraved copper plates created on commission with quotes or words chosen by the customer.  Each season I release 3 or 4 different collections, each varied in nature so there is something to suit every woman, style & mood. September 2013 Challenge 5 - Bold & Graphic Mood Board from Gayle Price, Rule Changes & HUGE & HUGER NEWS!

Welcome back to Scrap Around The World Challenge FIVE!

Please note we have modified our rules!!

{please read our "To be Eligible for Judging" further down

as there's a slight change there too}.

 1)  The sketch is now OPTIONAL - you do not HAVE to use it 

{but of course you are welcome to use it as a starting point

 & for your inspiration if you like!}, this makes it easy for you to 

combine our challenges with sketch challenges if you want :)

2)  We now accept art journaling pages BUT only double-spreads with a 

minimum single page size of 14 x 19cm (5.5 x 7.5 inches) per page.

3)  Our challenges will now run until midnight EST on the last day of the month

     {this means you have an entire month to complete the challenge - woohoo!}.

For September we have a BOLD and GRAPHIC mood board

from Design Team member Gayle Price {Australia}.

Feel free to interpret the mood board in any way you like, 

using one image, several of them, all of them or even just 

one aspect of an image, using ANY COLOURS!    

     

For example:- You could use contrasting colours or contrasting elements

(rough/smooth - straight/curved - light/dark) text, alphas, bold patterns, 

doodles, scribbles, flourishes, rub-ons,detailed embellishments

 (ie:-lace,chipboard, metal/resin embellishments) masks & sunrays.

Even the topic you chose to scrap could be inspired by the board
{reading the board from the top left to the bottom right}

such as things you feel strongly about (image 1)

unconventional beauty (image 2) 

about your thoughts/feelings (image 3)

loved ones/a dependency (image 4) 

your wild side/things not everyone knows about you (image 5).

PLEASE REMEMBER TO TELL US WHAT INSPIRED YOU UNLESS IT IS OBVIOUS 

To be eligible for judging:-

You are required to show the image of the MOOD BOARD ONLY 

{you may show the sketch image but ONLY IF YOU USE IT}

 PLUS mention in your post that you are playing along at Scrap Around The World 

with a link back to the current challenge.

Hello again everyone :)  

Thanks so much to all who participated in this month's challenge!  

We had 46 entries this month from 20 different countries!  

The Aussies were in the lead this month, followed by the Americans!! 

 {In Europe it was Summertime so entries were down but that's all good - the sunshine was calling!}.  

Unfortunately about one third of our entries forgot to add what country they were from 

so please try to remember that next month - it's fun to see where you are from :)

There were also a few people that didn't link up to the challenge in their blog post

 (as per our rules) so unfortunately we could not include them in our votes :(
