Video Tutorial by Jelissa Mei
{Design Team 'Moment To Shine'}

Hi everyone! It's Heather McMahon back with you today to welcome
you to another video tutorial in our Design Team 'Moment To Shine' series.

Today we have a beautiful layout by Design Team
member Jelissa Mei
from Singapore. Jelissa was inspired by our current challenge here.

We saw a sneak peak of Jelissa's layout in the June reveal post
now she is sharing a video of how she made her stunning project.

Jelissa was inspired by the colours, the paint strokes in the chevron motifs, the
cracked egg edges & the quote about how we make our own happiness
(Jelissa makes her own happiness by spending time with her children).

Here's an update on Jelissa:

"Hello! I'm Jelissa & I live in sunny Singapore with my 2 boys & loving husband.
I picked up scrapbooking when my eldest was born in 2010 as a way of
recording his childhood. It gradually became an outlet for expression for me while I
balanced my personal life & my previous job as a forensic scientist. I love
experimenting with different styles & mediums. I'm now awaiting the arrival of our
3rd child & am conducting scrapbooking workshops both at my LSS & at home.

My blog is here, Facebook is here, Pinterest is here & Instagram is here."

Jelissa has prepared a step by step video with instructions to guide you through
how she created her background as well as the layering. Sit back & enjoy!

Here are some close ups of Jelissa's gorgeous work showing the beautiful intricate details. Jelissa has created texture with pastes, burlap, gauze & paper tearing.

Jelissa has used a beautifully decorated chipboard piece as a photo mat.

Lots of detail is created using stamping, sand grit, texture paste & layering.

Try using a chipboard piece as a title instead of the usual alpha stickers.

Here are the products Jelissa used.

Supplies List

Paper - 13@rts Mental Vacation
Mediums - magic powder, metallic turquoise paint, turquoise matt paint,
raspberry matt paint, gold pearl paint, modeling paste, gesso, gel medium,
