Guest Design Team Inspiration from Darkroom Door!

Hello Scrap Around The World Fans!

***Don't forget to play along with our current challenge***HERE***
Time is running out - we are over half way through the month
so why not take some time-out this weekend to get your entry in?

Help yourself if you have featured here as part of one of our invited Guest Teams!

Today we have the talented Design Team from
Darkroom Door sharing their interpretations
 of our current mood board with us.

Thank you ladies for your wonderful inspiration!

Darkroom Door is owned by photographer Rachel Greig & graphic designer
 Stewart Yule, who combine their talents to design a unique range
 of rubber stamps & papercraft products suitable for card making,
 scrapbooking, invitations, collage, mixed media & altered art.

 As the name suggests, Darkroom Door products have
 a strong photographic element in their design.

Please also check out the inspiration from the design team on the shop's blog!

Here is our current September Mood Board, designed by
Amy Voorthuis,that the Darkroom Door ladies used for their inspiration.

 Let's take a look at what they have created to inspire you today!

Belinda Spencer {Australia}

I was influenced by the soft pink & red of the books & the cog-filled love heart.
I used a soft pink mist on my background & tore some pages from a Fairytale
 book. I used a quote from the Darkroom Door Melody Stamp Set & the
Criss Cross Texture Stamp. Darkroom Door Hearts stamp  was used
to create my love heart, then I layered metal cogs over the top.
Little words were added from the Viva La Flora Wordstrip.

Rachel Greig {Australia}

I was inspired by the fairy wings & books from the mood board.
 I used the Darkroom Door Little Dreams Stamp Set that has
 an image of a lady with wings. Cogs were added using the new
 Darkroom Door Cogs Background Stamp & Steampunk Stamp Sets.
I stamped a Jane Austen quote about books using the Darkroom Door
Scratched Alphabet Stamp Set.

Robyn Wood {Australia}

My art journal page was inspired by the soft pinks & greys of the mood board,
 the idea of fairy tales & fairy godmothers, as well as the idea that an
 inanimate object (the dress form) could come to life.
 I used the Dressmaker, Wings & French Script Background,
both from Darkroom Door of course!

Robyn Wood {Australia}

My scrapbook layout was inspired by the books & brown/grey neutral tones
from the mood board.  I used Coffee Stain, Stone Background &
Paint Splats stamps from Darkroom Door for my creation.

Susie Campbell {Australia}

Inspiration struck immediately when I saw the stunning colour
 palette of the mood board, then the gorgeous opera glasses
carried my thoughts & heart to music, a great passion of mine!
