As the owner of 2Crafty Chipboard, I don’t get much time to craft anymore,
which is a shame & I miss it very much. However, before I began 2Crafty in 2006,
I was predominately a card maker who sold my creations in my father’s pharmacy.
After the sudden loss of my Father-in-law in 2005, I began scrapbooking
by creating a Remembrance Album for the family to look back on.
At a local craft show a Laser Cutter was being demonstrated & my mind went
into overdrive with the possibilities of what this machine was capable of!
I gave up my corporate HR/payroll job & embarked on creating 2Crafty Chipboard.!!

I love all kinds of media – if I would have to define my style, I would say that media
are the only constant thing. My favourite colours are fresh, bold greens, blues & pinks,
but at the same time I just love delicate, pale hues of beige, rose & white.
However there is something in my projects that can be found always
– a positive, feminine style.
Scrapbooking fills my whole life – it is all around me – in my private life & in my job
& career. I love the process of creation – I have created things since early
childhood – all kinds of handmade things always attracted me. I cannot
imagine my life without making some art. Even if I leave for a weekend,
I always take my small “art-bag”, filled with art-journal supplies
. I am lucky enough to be a designer in a few very creative places.
I love drinking coffee, reading books, walking through the forest,
watching flowers on the meadow, basking in the autumn sun &
being deep in my inner world. I can say that I am happy person
& wouldn't change a single thing in my life.

"Hi! My name is Ali Parris & I live in the UK with my long suffering husband
(29 years to date!) & our dog Basil. We are lucky enough to have 2 beautiful daughters
& their chaps plus a grand-daughter & grandson, who are the light of our lives.
I started scrapbooking when my grand-daughter was born 5 years ago.
I had dabbled in card making but never felt the passion that I have for scrapping!
I played in blog land for a while & joined the Frosted Designs Design Team.
As my confidence grew & I began to develop my style I decided to take the plunge
& submit a layout to Scrap365 magazine. I was beyond thrilled when it was accepted!
That was in March 2013 & since then my scrapping life has taken a huge change in direction!
I was asked to join the Design Team for the magazine & after submitting my first article
was asked if I would consider becoming the Editor! As they say, the rest is history!!
